Work Concept studio website
FIFTY
A concept site for a fictional design studio in Lisbon and Berlin, built on the idea that people judge a website in about fifty milliseconds: a live WebGL background, video work index and brief builder.
Overview
FIFTY is a fictional digital design studio with offices in Lisbon and Berlin. I built the concept around one idea: people judge a website in about fifty milliseconds, so a studio’s site has to make its point before the visitor has read a word.
It also had to stay small. A studio’s site works as a business card: who they are, what they have made, where they are and how to start a project. The task was to fit that into a handful of pages with motion, video and a live background, without making the pages heavy.

Approach
7 pages: Home, Work, a project page, Studio, Contact with a brief builder, Legal and a 404 page. The home page opens with a loader counting from 00 to 50 ms, then shows a statement headline over a live WebGL background and an info grid with live clocks for both studios, services, contact details and availability. A showreel opens in a full-screen player.
The work index shows 8 projects as a list, where a video preview follows the cursor, or as a grid, with category filters. Each project page has a full-screen video, an overview that lights up as you scroll, the challenge and approach, results and a link to the next project; the contact page builds a brief from services, budget, timeline and details.
The background is a WebGL shader written for the site: domain-warped fractal noise in ember tones that leans toward the cursor, with a CSS fallback. Every internal link wipes the page with a black panel that counts to 50 ms; headlines appear character by character and media is revealed with clip-path. The rest is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with GSAP, ScrollTrigger and Lenis, and nothing is sent anywhere.

The concept exists as 7 pages with 8 projects and clocks for two studios. Lighthouse measured the home page on 22 September 2026. On mobile, with default throttling: performance 89, accessibility 94, best practices 77 and SEO 100, with LCP 2.7 s and CLS 0. On desktop: performance 100, accessibility 94, best practices 77 and SEO 100, with LCP 0.5 s. The page weighs 2.1 MB in 13 requests — the highest performance scores among the concept sites measured that day.
Checks across the 6 pages rendered in Chrome (the 404 page excluded) found a unique title and exactly one H1 on every page, the lang attribute set to en, layouts that fit a 390 px screen without horizontal scrolling, alt text on 100% of images and 0 broken internal links. Canonical tags, Open Graph tags and structured data are on 0 of 6 pages, and there is no sitemap.xml or robots.txt.
SEO review
On 22 September 2026 Lighthouse gave the home page SEO 100 on both mobile and desktop, with performance 89 on mobile and 100 on desktop; checks across 6 pages rendered in Chrome show clean basics and an unfinished launch layer.

In place: a unique title and exactly one H1 on 6 of 6 pages, lang=en, every page fits a 390 px screen without horizontal scrolling, alt text on 100% of images and 0 broken internal links. Best practices is 77 on mobile and desktop because the Pexels video CDN sets third-party cookies.
Before launch: canonical tags and Open Graph tags with images on all 6 pages; JSON-LD with Organization / ProfessionalService listing both studios, CreativeWork for each project and BreadcrumbList; sitemap.xml and robots.txt; longer titles, since only 2 of 6 are 30–65 characters, and fuller descriptions, since 4 of 6 are 70–170 characters; self-hosted video instead of the Pexels CDN.

What this does not prove
FIFTY is a concept I built at VITON13 to show range, not a commissioned project. The studio, its people, projects and addresses are fictional. The site has no domain, no visitors, no search traffic and no enquiries: the brief builder sends nothing. Photos and video are licensed stock from Unsplash and Pexels, not the studio’s own work.
The Lighthouse scores are lab measurements of the home page on one day; the project pages with full-screen video were not scored. A 100 SEO score covers the basics only. Fifty milliseconds is the site’s theme: the case does not measure how quickly real visitors form an opinion, and it does not prove that the site would win a studio any work.
