Privacy policy — VERIDA

Please note. VERIDA is a fictional agency and this site is a portfolio demonstration. Nothing you type is collected or sent anywhere: it stays in your browser. To show the pages, your browser fetches fonts from Google Fonts, photos from Unsplash, video from Pexels, the map library from unpkg and map tiles from CARTO, so those services receive your IP address and browser details, as with any web request. The text below shows how such a document reads for a real agency.

1. About this document

This policy explains what information a property agency’s website may process, why it does so, and what rights a visitor has once they leave their details.

2. What is collected

Contact details. Name, phone, email and preferred language — you provide these yourself when booking a viewing or requesting a shortlist.
Your brief. City, budget, property type, notes about the viewing and the correspondence with your adviser.
Technical data. Device type, screen size, referring source, the pages and properties you looked at.
Transaction documents. A real agency would hold identity documents, proof of source of funds and bank details. Nothing of the kind is requested here.

3. Why it is needed

To arrange the viewing and to reach you if the time or the access to the property changes.
To prepare a shortlist and a cost-of-ownership calculation for your brief.
To run the transaction: due diligence, notary, registration.
To send new listings in your cities — only if you subscribe, with an unsubscribe link in every message.

4. Storage and security

Contact details are kept for as long as the work is live, and for three years after closing — property legislation requires it. Access is limited to the adviser handling the client and the lawyer on the transaction.

In this demonstration project the data sits in the browser’s localStorage and disappears when you clear the site data.

5. Who the data is shared with

The notary and the registry, to the extent the transaction requires.
The bank, when arranging a mortgage, and only with your separate consent.
The owner of the property — your name and the time of the visit, nothing more.

Data is never sold or passed to third parties for advertising.

6. Your rights

Ask what data is held about you and receive a copy.
Correct anything inaccurate — in your account or on request.
Withdraw consent and ask for deletion, where the data is no longer needed to meet an obligation.
Unsubscribe from messages with one click.
