We design buildings, public spaces and interiors that are generous to the street, careful with the climate and sturdy enough to outlive us.
our story
stoa was founded in Moscow in 2006 by two architects who kept losing the same competitions to each other. They decided it was cheaper to share an office. The name comes from the covered colonnades of ancient Greek cities — public rooms without walls, where people met, argued and waited out the heat.
Twenty years on we are one hundred and twenty architects, urban designers, interior designers, BIM specialists, visualisers and writers in two studios, Moscow and Dubai. We have completed more than three hundred projects in eleven countries, and we still start every one of them with a roll of tracing paper.
