our story

A stoa was a covered colonnade in the centre of an ancient Greek city: a room without walls where anyone could shelter from the sun, sell something, or start an argument about philosophy. We named the practice after it because that is the kind of architecture we want to make — public, generous, and useful to people who never paid for it.
